Bioware has Punk'd us.
This was really funny. I lost it on the old Star Wars arcade game.
Oh sorry sorry sorry; Hope that didn't disturb you too much there. It was the sound of books... pages being turned. So, that's just what I was doing, just reading, uh... books. So not a moron. Anyway, just finished the last one, just now, the hardest one. Machiavelli. Do not know what all the fuss was about - understood it perfectly. Have you read that one?
I totally wish this was true. I would love to be able to 'possess' my companions and really - your ship's droid is the one that makes the most sense for multiple characters to have. In fact, I already include 'C2' in much of my live IC RP - emoting 'for' him and bantering back and forth with him, giving him a bit of a personality. However, the fact that Bioware thinks that the ability for a player to take over one of his/her companions is so ludicrous and undesirable to the point that it's a joke is one more indicator to me that they really don't 'get' immersive MMO role playing. At least not my style of role playing.
*sigh*
On the other hand, spending your time in a MMO cleaning a ship and choosing how to greet your master is not my idea of fun, to be honest. There's a difference between taking over a companion in the world for RP and even missions and on your ship for mundane chores...
